The Stijns Kitchen story started in the summer of 2018. Instagram was often in the news and in interpretation programs. I got curious. Many hours of reading and watching YouTube videos followed. How should I go about it? What to watch out for? ……

One of the most important tips was “choose a niche, don't randomly post anything that comes to mind” The decision about what to Instagram was made quickly. Cooking of course! That great hobby of mine.

The followers quickly joined and a few months later the interest in what I was doing was already evident. It not only stimulated me to continue with Instagram but also to continue cooking and especially to cook better, to look for new recipes and products. More and more nice things came my way, tasty products, special experiences and nice people. In 2019 I won the food pairing competition of Bourgogne Des Flandres. At the beginning of 2020 I was allowed to participate in the VTM program “My Kitchen My Restaurant”, a real top experience.

More and more people ask me, Stijn how did you make that? or how do you do that? Or can I have the recipe of this or that dish from your Instagram. And yes even occasionally people even approach me on the street or in the supermarket. So it was high time to take a new step. A real food blog in which I share my best recipes and best experiences with you. Just like when I started with instagram, this new adventure is for me to search and persevere, because I am not the greatest writer, but gradually, step by step and together with you, this should also succeed. And that I don't just stick to blogging is already clear. There is certainly more to come. Just because I like it so much. So stay tuned. And for those who shouldn't have done it yet, be sure to follow me on my instagram https://www.instagram.com/stijns_kitchen/ https://www.instagram.com/stijns_kitchen/

Because I believe that in addition to the food itself, your table and your setting are also important in the dining experience, I not only share my dishes and recipes here on this site especially for you, but you also have access to some Spotify music lists in the menu “mood music”. that I use at dinner parties. After all, with music you can completely immerse people in the atmosphere of the dishes you prepare. And that can only improve the taste, the experience and the memory.

Enjoy reading
